I was trying to take some picture for a mouse catching trial for catz I'm working on, but the mice in my games don't come out often. I've been trying for a few days now and they've only came out twice. Is this the same with everyone? I never really payed attention to the mice in the game, so I'm not sure

The mice seem to be very "shy" when petz are out. Try removing your petz from the playscene, set out the block of cheese and they should come out quickly. Then you can block the mouse holes and bring out your cat. Eventually the mouse will run off the screen but it gives you more time than you'd have if the holes were open.

I tried blocking the mouse holes, but they went in the hole even though it was closed. I made some other example pictures for the trials with downloaded mice breedfiles though

Oh, that's weird! They shouldn't be able to do that. What game version are you using? Sounds like you were able to make it work, though.

Actually, they run back in my game too... I use Petz 4. I second not keeping petz out - if you put out a treat, or the cheese, that can attract them too

I've tried with P4 too. Might have to try in the other games too then

If you keep your hand around the mice, or wave it in front of the mouse holes, the mouse will avoid the hand so you can try to keep it in a certain area of the room while your cat stalks it. That's what I've been doing to get photos.
