I thought this might be a fun alternative way to do this ^^
Therapy dogs have to be patient and gentle, well-trained and obedient. Their work is to offer comfort and company to those who need it, mostly in the form of cuddles and pets. However, some therapy dogs also assist handicapped individuals to continue their own physical therapy
So I've put together a list of photos, which may not be merged or edited. Please post them individually, with the appropriate subtexts :3
Tasks
All of these tasks may be done on or off leash. In programmes I have watched about therapy dogs, I have seen them both off and on leads. They may also wear harnesses or clothing in whatever way you think might be fun for patients. Muzzles are strictly forbidden! Any clothing items must be from the game, but they may be hexed items No photoshop please!
Images may be recycled from other tasks, or mix and match. However, please make sure all of the pictures compliment - such as all having the same collar, leash or clothing :3
1 Photo per task, except sit and down stay, in which both must be present
exam - it may be any type of pose (dali, 3/4 or porfile), and it doesn't even have to be too well aligned. I am just looking for a proud, happy dog I will use this photo for the vest ad for the certificate, so make sure your dog is putting its best paw forward! It is NOT required to have the collar or harness on for this task, so feel free to use any show picture you have. No edits, though!
alert sit and down stay - obedience is an essential for this job, especially in hospitals and nursing homes where good manners is key. The sits don't have to be facing forward, and the tongues don't have to be perfect. Hexed breeds will NOT be faulted for goofy sits ad downs.
accept petting - the main task is to get and give love. Tolerance of petting is also a requirement. Any position, as long as I can tell the dog likes it. Belly up
accept grooming - because dogs must be washed and groomed before going to their dogs, tolerating grooming is a must. Any brush is okay, as well as any item like scissors, a razor, or a long-fur comb.
walk politely - a dog must be polite in bustling or crowded hallways, and be mindful around equipment. It may be a casual walk, or a M shaped pace.
Play - many dogs get to play fetch or tug of war with patients. They must be cheerful and not forceful, and just generally show they like to play. Any toy is good!
Tolerate transport - Many therapy dogs may visit several places, or need to be calm going from home to their place of work. Any crate or the basket is good, as long as they are calm in there. Clipping or body parts being obscured will not be faulted.
These will be demonstrated by the resident idiot, Eri
